Abdul Rahman’s exposures gravitate in the field of Total Quality Management (TQM) . He has numerous experiences in the implementation and maintenance of Management Systems for Quality, Safety, Health and the Environment as well in Organizational Excellence initiatives, in diversified manufacturing sectors. These include Chemical, Petrochemical, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and Automotive industries.
Rahman is presently an employee of Sanden International Singapore, also known as SIS. His key achievement is to establish the company’s framework to attain the Deming Prize in 2006. This is a world’s prestigious recognition for the attainment of Organizational Excellence through the application of TQM. SIS is the first and only company in Singapore to attain this prestigious medal. It is currently embarking on a continued journey to attain the Japan Quality Medal, a level higher than the Deming Prize.
As part of this strategy, Rahman is challenged to take on a more tactical role to be in-charge of Strategic Human Capital Management, Strategic Planning and Strategic System Developer. All these are enabled through the application of TQM methodology.
